The 3 star Sunflower Hotel, 800 metres away from it’s sister 4 star Hotel Santana, is built over six floors and has 108 rooms. Despite it’s modern exterior, the hotel’s interior design reflects traditional Maltese architectural characteristics through the use of Maltese limestone.
The eco-certified hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the picturesque Bugibba promenade in the resort of St Paul’s Bay. The popular area of Qawra lies half way between the old fishing village of St Paul’s Bay and Salina Bay. The semi detached Sunflower Hotel is situated in a relatively quiet area but is within walking distance of the popular Bugibba centre where one can find shops, nightclubs, restaurants, bars, a Casino and a Multiplex Cinema. Easy access to bus routes enables guests to easily visit the numerous cultural and tourist sites around the island.
Hotel facilities include 24 hour attended Reception offering exchange services, information and assistance, the main restaurant and terrace, 24 hour bar, roof top pool, indoor pool, treatments/massage room, games room and fitness room. Qawra hosts a number of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, a cinema and a casino, as well as a vast array of water sport facilities.
This popular all year round resort offers easy access to the rest of the island with a bus terminus situated just two minutes walk from the Hotel Santana and ten minutes from Sunflower Hotel. Qawra is also very close to the rural areas of Wardija and Mellieha, offering interesting country and scenic walking trails. The popular resort of St. Julians which is a mecca for nightlife is only a 20 minute drive away.
